This animation is part of a collaborative project in which four of us each create different sections of an animation that come together to tell a single story. The theme we chose was “the Old West”. I wanted my section to take an unexpected approach. The narrative follows a cowboy’s hat as it blows off his head and travels through a town. In my segment, I zoom in on the side of the hat to reveal vignettes from the cowboy’s life, illustrated through stitching.
